Boot Fitting

  • Fit the individual athlete in the correct sized ski race boot based upon a 3D measurement of the foot and ankle, overall assessment, correct flex, and the correct height of the cuff.
  • The 3D assessments are defined through the actual measurements of the length of the foot, width, heel, instep and lateral.
  • This addresses the lumps and bumps of the foot and ankle, to provide space where needed, while interfacing with the custom insole/orthotic.
  • One of the purposes in an exact fit, offers the athlete the ability to engage their skis properly, and in a timely fashion.
  • Outline and target specific areas such as the individual physical characteristics, that can help steer the fitter, aligning the athlete to the best equipment.
  • Steiners has partnered with Master Fit Enterprise, in which to offer custom insoles and orthotics. These are personal, and selective to each athlete.
  • Does the insole/orthotic meet the need of the conclusions of the assessment, and can the insole/orthotic interface and fit within the boot.

Boot-to-Binding-to-Ski Relationship

While the race boots may be the most important piece of equipment, the ability for the athlete to succeed will only be permitted through the partnership between the athlete and their balance on snow!  Thus, SRS combines the proper set up of the race boots, with the variable angles of the bindings, race plates and the race skis.

  • The re-engineered ski boot is now flat and must be adhered to the ski through the use of the binding.
  • Based upon the SRS Technician's earlier assessments, we can align and pair the binding, plate and ski...specific to the specific's athlete's biomechanics.

Ski Services

The assigned SRS Technician will work with the individual family, in which to select the best brands as determined by the assessments.  We can then provide a race room set-up, built to ensure that the athlete can achieve balance over the skis.

Balance can provide the athlete trust in their connection to their ski boots...their skis... and the snow.  It's the key to focus on that connection, thus the athlete can move anywhere on snow, and in balance.
