Details
After extensive wind-tunnel testing, Mavic delivers the Cosmic CXR 60, the choice of numerous WorldTour squads and fast riders everywhere. The 60mm-deep carbon rim uses bladed steel spokes and their own Yksion tire to achieve one of the most aero clincher wheels in the peloton. The magic of Mavic's CXR 60 is it's nearly seamless transition between tire and brake track thanks to a special aerodynamic fairing. That tire is a 127-TPI clincher for sublime ride quality with serious durability. It uses a fast-rolling, long-wearing center tread with softer rubber on the sides for excellent cornering grip. The wheel is silky smooth and stiff, too, thanks to the near-frictionless QRM+ hub and a quick-engaging FTS-L freebody. And of course, Mavic never sacrifices ride quality or weight for aerodynamics, so the CXR 60 accelerates like a shot and climbs better than most standard wheels out there.
Mavic's CX01 rims utilize a variety of features to provide a smooth, aerodynamic profile that will make it hard for you to tell where the tire ends and the rim begins. Ultralight removable fins clip into the rim to create a seamless transition from the braking surface to the tire. Paired with the aero tread and shape of the Yksion tire, this system produces a perfect airfoil for ultimate speed.

Mavic’s Exalith 2 rim treatment is a 10 micron thick layer that actually penetrates the rim for exceptional fatigue strength and resistance to wear from braking. It strengthens the rim and spoke holes, and allows for lighter rim weights. Using the included black Mavic Exalith 2 brake pads, braking power and modulation is improved, especially in the rain. | Mavic's Maxtal rim uses 6000 aluminum, which is 30% stronger than 6106 aluminum. This allows Mavic to build lighter rims for quick acceleration. |

Mavic's SUP rims boast welded and milled joints for superior strength and wheel balancing. | Mavic's ISM (Inter Spoke Milling) rims have extraneous material machined away between the spokes, resulting in an extremely strong and lightweight rim. The final product climbs faster and accelerates more quickly because of it. |

Mavic's QRM+ hubs offer low rolling resistance for more speed. Their sealed bearings promise smooth, low-maintenance operation for years of worry-free riding. | Mavic's FTS-L (Force Transfer System Light) ensures the cassette drive mechanism is lightweight and ultra strong. |
Mavic's PowerLink rear tire is a dual-compound tire designed to reduce rolling resistance and maximize power transfer. The PowerLink also features a strong anti-puncture Nylon barrier.
