PS6 is very versatile. Its area of use stretches from underlayer for powder to racing wax and base prep wax for cold skis. PS6 has good durability and offers great performance on natural and artificial snow. The speed of the iron should be approx. 8-10 sec. on a skating or alpine ski. The wax can be re-heated after cooling to room temperature (10 min) for better durability. Important to have a good iron to get an efficient melting of the wax. PS6 can be used as a race wax alone or as a base for powders and other top coats. PS7 is a wax that performs great in normal winter conditions below the freezing point. Its hardness makes it convenient to work with and easy to get a good end result. It is important that the scraper is sharp at all times. This makes it easy and effective to work on the base surface. The less sharp the scraper is, the more pressure is required. This may negatively affect the properties of the base. Sharpen the scraper using Swix T0408, T410 and T412-220.
